Prohibited Items

Effective October 27, 2026

Shops may list only items they can legally sell and ship. The following may not be listed on Outlandory. We remove listings that break this policy and may suspend shops that repeat it.

Never allowed

  • Machine guns, and any part or kit designed to convert a firearm to automatic fire, including auto sears, drop-in auto sears, lightning links, "switches" and similar devices.
  • Any item that is illegal to sell or possess under federal law, or stolen, or with an altered, removed or obliterated serial number.
  • Unserialized frames or receivers, and "80%" frame or receiver kits, jigs or kits sold together to make a working firearm, unless sold as federal law requires (serialized and transferred through an FFL).
  • Destructive devices, explosives, explosive precursors and tracer or incendiary ammunition where prohibited.
  • Armor-piercing handgun ammunition as defined by federal law.
  • Bump stocks and other devices where their sale is prohibited.
  • Body armor that may not be legally sold to the public, and law enforcement or military insignia, badges or uniforms meant to impersonate an officer.
  • Counterfeit or knock-off goods, and items that infringe someone else's trademark or copyright.
  • Recalled products that have not been fixed.
  • Live animals, endangered species products and wildlife parts whose sale is restricted.
  • Drugs, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
  • Hate symbols, propaganda and items that promote violence against people.

Allowed only with conditions

  • Firearms, frames and receivers: only from licensed shops, shipped to the buyer's chosen FFL. See Firearms and FFL Transfers.
  • NFA items (suppressors, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, AOWs): only from licensed shops qualified to transfer them, under the federal NFA process.
  • Ammunition, magazines, certain parts and knives: only to places they can legally ship. Shops must list the restrictions that apply and refuse orders they cannot legally fill.
  • Night vision and certain optics: only within US export rules. No export.
  • Used and consigned items: accurate condition, serial numbers kept intact, and every law that applies to used firearm sales followed.
  • Bear spray, pepper spray and stun devices: only where legal and with any shipping restrictions listed.

If you see a listing that breaks this policy or the law, email support@outlandory.com with the product link. We review every report.
